If you've always wanted to build a holiday home but were concerned about the time and cost involved, a modular home can be a cost effective and hassle free way to build your holiday retreat.   ### Primary vs. Weekend Home It may be tempting to have an expensive holiday home, however you’ll need to consider whether it is financially wise to invest a large sum of money into an expensive holiday home that may only be used for a few days each month or perhaps just a few weeks each year. Generally, building a modular home can be less expensive overall than their traditional counterparts.   ### Avoiding a Complex Building Process Anyone that has gone through the traditional building process knows that it takes months of decisions and visits to the home site in order to complete the home building process. Many holiday homes are a fair distance away from the owner’s primary residence and going through a traditional building process will require many trips to the job site. This hassle can be avoided by building a modular home. With a modular build, virtually all of the decision making process is completed before the home build commences inside a controlled environment.   ### Faster Turnaround Time Building a modular home in a controlled environment is significantly faster than a traditional build on-site. You will be able to start relaxing in a modular holiday home long before a traditional build could be completed.   ### Your Home is Still Customisable You don't have to stick to a rigid home design when building a modular home. Just as with traditional home designs, modular home designs are all fully customisable, allowing you to build in the features that are important to you. A key reason for owning a holiday home is to have a retreat where families can relax and spend time enjoying the outdoors and other family activities. Building a modular home allows you to do just that without all the extra hassle and expense of a traditionally built home. At Manor, we supply modular homes both in country and coastal areas.
